Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Polar Hardware Heavy-Duty Assist Handle, the handle's going to feature a 5" grab area, that's this portion right here. It's made from a solid zinc, die-cast construction, and it's going to feature a nice, bright chrome finish. It's going to have four mount holes, these are going to be drilled for 1/4" flat or oval head screws. You can see that, at each mount hole location, it's going to have a nice little beveled area, that's going to allow for the hardware to lay inside the mount area, and lay flush with the top of the mount surface area. Mounting hardware is not included, so that will need to be provided separately, really nice design, the grab area is going to have a width of right at 1", and again, that's going to have a span from that point there to this point here of 5", so 5" grab area. Overall length measuring from edge to edge, that's going to give us a measurement of 8 1/4". The mount holes are going to be separated apart from one another on center, going this direction, by right on 1", then going from center of this hole right here to center of these holes over here, that's going to be right on 7". The mounting area, this platform area, that's going to give us a width of right at 2".
Really nice design, though, very easy to use, and again, this is going to be your heavy-duty assist handle, and that's going to do it for today's review.

I installed the grab handle in a 1946 jeep for a grab bar so my wife could easily get into the passenger side. It works great! Is just the right size and a good quality.
